|What is it about?|

(ZoomPal cultural exchange Project)
ZoomPal cultural exchange project was started for teens from Taiwan and the U.S.A to keep connections and discuss world issues and global concerns through online Zoom platform. Since COVID-19 has changed how we connect to people, we break our barriers to collaborate with teen leaders and thinkers from Texas and California to share cultural differences between local Taiwanese students and Asian American students in our Asian community.

(United States Project)
ZoomPal cultural exchange Project
We are thrilled to announce our 2021 year-long “ZoomPal'' Project to exchange cultural stories and engage in current event discussions. As teenagers, we often get lost in our own little world of academics, sports, music, and current events that we don’t bother expanding our horizons and look at our world as a whole. Would the Taliban intensify their attacks if Biden ordered a precipitous withdrawal of the U.S. military and what would that mean to Afghanistan? What inclusive progress of mediation will the UN make among the Huthis and the Hadi government in Yemen this year, how does “the world’s worst humanitarian disaster” really look like? Will Libya’s divided institutions surge up to another round of hostilities this year? Yes, we’re telling you that the world we live in isn’t all sunshine and smiles, and millions of unfortunate civilians are currently suffering under these political conflicts.
So, what are we going to do about it? The CULTEREDU FLUENT “ZoomPal'' Project is the platform for high school students from Taiwan and the United States who are passionate about modern civics to engage in the 2021 international current events via discussions twice per session.
Acknowledging international current events can allow us to embrace diversity, build empathy, and develop critical thinking skills. Join our wonderful community of like-minded teenagers and dive into global concerns ranging from cultural topics, global affairs, to climate issues and so on! Look forward to meeting someone outside of your echo chamber and transforming yourself to be a doer, thinker, and change maker!

(India Project)
India SDGs educational campaign Project
I would like to educate middle school students about the SDGs and teach illiterate children in my surrounding community. India being a developing country, I want to devote this precious time in quarantine to have education campaigns.

(Philippines Project)
Filipino women are often name called as "sluts" and "gold diggers" because of their obsession with finding a foreigner partner. I remember seeing the word "Filipina" in a dictionary, and its definition is a slut. I am very disgusted with that, not only because I'm from the Philippines, but because I am a woman. That's when I came up with my advocacy of ending slut shaming. I know that many women out there are suffering from being name called as a slut because of their clothing, partners and financial status.
Sure, some women here in the Philippines use foreigners as a scapegoat for poverty. But is that an enough reason for people to characterize every Filipina as a slut? No, I may be too young, but don't hear me as a 16 year old Filipina, hear me out as a woman that has a voice. I will forever stand firm to my belief, even if I stand alone.
